Iris

Angel Creations

The Iris technique combines folded strips of varying colors of paper into a spiral pattern. The folded paper spiral is placed behind a hand-cut top sheet of cardstock which reveals the subject of the card -- anything from an apple to a sailboat to a comet or to a Christmas tree. Some of the most pleasing cards employ folded paper with a colorful printed pattern, but plain colors are also used to good effect.

Each card comes with a loose insert. You can either handwrite your own message, or run the insert through a printer to write a message using your computer. When finished, you can tack the insert to the card using a glue stick.
